Welcome to Bouclé SF, a textile design studio I founded to create distinctive artwork, prints, repeat patterns, and colorways! I’m a third-generation designer born in New Orleans, the daughter of immigrants from Tehran. I grew up surrounded by fabrics and couture gowns made by my mother for Southern belles, pageant queens, and soon-to-be brides.

After years in Paris, Buenos Aires, and San Francisco, I studied fashion design at Polimoda Fashion School, Institute Design and Marketing in Florence, and later, digital textile design at Otis College of the Arts in Los Angeles. I’ve freelanced for clients like Athleta, Pottery Barn, and Tart Collections, developing fabric and products for apparel, accessories and home goods.

My work has appeared in curated work online and in print, including  Print & PatternPattern Pulp, and The Pattern Base: Over 550 Contemporary Textile and Surface Designs. I am inspired by the beauty of nature and the energy of cosmopolitan destinations. I’m also  drawn to the language of abstract art, at once familiar and fresh, timeless and modern.

I live with my husband, two daughters, Shiba dog and feral cat, in sunny Bernal Village, the neighborhood in the sky. Thank you for visiting. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
